Hello friends:
After over 40 years practicing as a professional architect, I retired in 2011. For the last 27 years of my professional career I was Principal Architect and Co-Founder of GYMO PC, a multi-disciplined architectural, engineering and land surveying firm practicing in New York State. My experience includes all aspects of the practice of architecture for a wide range of project types. Please select the Architecture tab on this web site and click on "Experience" for samples of projects that I designed and completed while at GYMO PC. Since my retirement from GYMO PC, I have maintained my professional accreditations and affiliations and continue providing architectural services to past friends and clients as well as new clients.
Art and Architecture have gone hand-in-hand in my creative endeavors over the years. My approach to architecture has always been to create a "functional art". In other words, to respond to a set of functional, social and environmental criteria with a design aesthetic that enhances the human experience. Art has always been a passion of mine and I was fortunate to be able utilize it in the presentation of my architectural design work.
Since my retirement from full time architectural practice, I have been able to spend more time and effort developing my fine art skills, something I've always wanted to do. At the present time, pastel painting is my primary medium. I have studied under several regional artists in northern New York and Canada. My work has been accepted for display in several galleries and exhibits throughout the region.
